Who we are
We
are a team of Christian volunteers committed to expressing God’s
love by providing educational materials to less fortunate children
in other parts of the world. Our aim is to collect donated books,
IT equipment, and other educational resources here in the United
States and send them to mostly rural schools in other countries
that are in great need of educational material, with the hope of
empowering the students and thus releasing them from the clasps
of poverty and despair.
What we do
Step 1: Collect the Books—individuals,
churches and organizations collect books over the course of several
months.
Step 2: Pick Up the Books—team
members and volunteers go to different collecting sites and pick up
donated books and supplies.
Step 3: Sort and Catalogue—the
books are taken to Circle of Hope-Northwest where volunteers go through them to remove any that are
deemed inappropriate for youth due to adult content, graphic,
violence, or vulgar language. The books are then catalogued and packed
into boxes.
Step 4: Load the Container—a
large metal container is dropped off at the NW site; volunteers load
the boxes and other materials into the container.
Step 5: Ship the Container—once
the container is loaded and sealed, it is collected by the shipping
company and sent to the overseas location. It usually takes several
months for the shipment to arrive.
Step 6: Receive and Distribute—a
contact person in the receiving country (most likely the head of the
schools) will be there when the seal is broken and the container is
unloaded. We also have to ensure that transportation to these
schools is arranged.

How you can help
1. DONATE and COLLECT BOOKS—all
educational needs are donated to the ministry. Our goal is fill each
container with at least 25,000 books and other educational
materials.
2. SHARE YOUR MONEY—it
costs roughly $6,000 to rent and ship a container. All
financial contributions go toward the cost of shipping. Everything
else the ministry does is done on a voluntary basis.
3. VOLUNTEER—since
the ministry is run by a small team of volunteers, we need
individuals who are willing to be point people in their churches,
businesses and communities to educate and motivate others to collect
and contribute books and other resources.
4. IDEAS—we
as a ministry are always looking for innovative ways to collect
books and raise money. In addition, we are always looking to
identify schools in third-world countries that are in the greatest
need. We are open to forming partnerships with other organizations
and individuals who can share their insight and knowledge to make us
a more effective ministry.
