Morning Prayer
Oh Lord let my soul rise up to meet you,
As the day rises to meet the sun.
Strangers and pilgrims with no earthly city.
And we find in you everything we ever could call home.
Matthew 28:1-10
Christ the Lord Is Risen Today
Christ, the Lord, is risen today! Alleluia!
All creation wakes to say: Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high. Alleluia!
Sing, you heav’ns, and earth reply: Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King. Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now your sting? Alleluia!
Dying once, he all does save. Alleluia!
Where your victory, O grave? Alleluia!
Love’s redeeming work is done. Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won. Alleluia!
Death, in vain, forbids him rise. Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise. Alleluia!
Soar we now, where Christ has led. Alleluia!
Following our exalted head. Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies. Alleluia!
Light the Way
When days are dark, breeding hate,
Shine upon, another way.
In death and loss , grow a new
Seed of life, trust in You.
[Chorus] Light the way to walk upon
Light the way to follow along
When violence breaks, bring Your peace,
Strength to turn, the other cheek,
And there expose, humanity
Daring love , of enemies
[chorus]
An act of faith, not to be
Alone and lost, in scarcity.
But give and live, abundantly
Always love, always free.
[chorus]
Show me your way and I will follow it
Show me the way of life
All Creatures of Our God and King
All creatures of our God and king
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
O praise him! Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam!
O praise him! O praise him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in heaven along,
O praise him! Alleluia!
Thou rising moon, in praise rejoice,
Ye lights of evening, find a voice!
O praise him! O praise him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou flowing water, pure and clear,
Make music for thy Lord to hear,
O praise him! Alleluia!
Thou fire so masterful and bright,
Thou givest us both warmth and light.
O praise him! O praise him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
And every one of tender heart,
Forgiving others, take your part,
O sing ye! Alleluia!
Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,
Praise God and cast on high your care!
O praise him! O praise him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Let all things their creator bless,
And worship him in humbleness,
O praise him! Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, three in one!
O praise him! O praise him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Bringing Us Home
No powers that be,
Or weapons assail.
No evil weathers the love,
Which tore through the veil.
Your mercies are new.
You’ve established your throne.
Your promise rings true.
You’re bringing us home.
[chorus] Sin, sin, where’s your control?
What the world tore apart
The Lord’s making whole.
Death, death, where is your sting?
There is life bursting forth
From the grave of the king.
The mountains and hills
Are bursting in song.
And the trees of the field
Start clapping along.
You’ve walked through the fire.
You walked through alone.
You’ve promised the world.
You’re bringing us home.
[chorus]
